For those people requesting additional clarification….. Microsoft recently announced a new version of its Windows 10 operating system — to go along with the existing home and pro versions — 10S. See the Microsoft information page.
10S is a locked down version of Windows 10 and is advertised to improve security and performance. At this time, 10S only supports the Edge browser.
Some new computers may come with 10S installed by the OEM. I have not read anything to indicate that existing Windows 10 – home or pro – installations would be changed to 10S as part of the automatic/manual Windows Update process.
